It's often observed of Queensland that it's 'beautiful one day, perfect the next!' A very highly successful advertising campaign which is, I suppose, now more than twenty years old.Well the weather has rather been like that in Adelaide for the last couple of days and the irises continue apace.
There is nothing quite like the early part of Sunday morning when there is little traffic and the sun is flooding down.
The strangest sound is that of cyclists who take the opportunity to hurtle along trusting that they are safe. They talk to each other as they go, or rather shout, the sound like a great gaggle of geese is quite eerie as I sit there trying to pray or gather my thoughts before church begins...then suddenly the gaggle begins.
These three photos show you how the irises are still filling the rose garden, and seem to get denser and denser. Thanks I think to H&L who planted them a few years ago.
