Da Vinci Sminchy

Saw the Davinci Code yesterday. I wasn't terribly impressed. I am not offended by the doctrinal rubbish in any way (it is so shallow that you must be able to see through it), I just don't think it was a particularly good murder-mystery-whodunnit-thriller or what ever.
However, I must say that my wife thought it was OK. (I only fell asleep twice!!)
I wouldn't be advising you to go out of your way to see (and it's long) but not so bad

RE: I just don't get it

Some Anglicans reckon that Jesus didn't die for our sins, rise from the grave or ascend to heaven.

I just don't get it.

Well as I said in the previous post I am a doctrinal fundamentalist! So I accept orthodox Christian doctrine about the bodily resurrection, the incarnation, the divinity of Christ and his atoning death. This is stuff the universal church spent centuries discerning.
My point is that the so-called literalists are very selective about what they determine to be the literal truth.
I actually think that orthodox Christianity is a radical approach to life, not the sort of branch of conservative politics that so many seem to have made it.
