Lest we forget.

If you browse the obituaries of the Washington Post you can find the lists of war dead in the last 5 or so years.

Lest we forget that Iraq and Afghanistan have enormous numbers of casualties on both sides it is sobering to look at these.

You can see them listed state by state. The California list (here) is quite sobering. There are more than 500.
