Now that's what I'm talking about

Last night's Q & A almost made me want to start watching it again.  ( I will not watch any episode Eric Abetz,  George Brandis,  Tim Flannery, John Elliot, Christine Milne, Graham Richardson....and half-witted comedians who should stick to joke telling....and that seems what goes round and round)
While it has become almost as boring as local and Federal Politics last night with Miriam Margolis, Barry Humphries, David Marr, John Hewson and Jackie Weaver  was outrageously irreverent. (And perhaps gives the lie to my comments above about comic input)
It  made me long for former times when people did not just feign outrage for political mileage, but were genuinely indignant about injustice (such as the gross intrusions of privacy that currently pass for news, or being boring in public office....all of which seems to be the common currency.)
I admire David Marr's intellect though he can be tedious, but he played a remarkably good 'straight man' (sic) to Humphreys.
Having John Hewson on the platform was probably the stroke of genius. He is sufficiently distant from his tragic time of leadership to not take himself too seriously and to recognise that politics shouldn't either.
And it seemed to me that Bazza was not terribly worried about the fact that he may be defaming Craig Thomson. I am sure Mr Thomson is not going to sue him.
