A great musical era

We are living, I believe, in a great musical era in Adelaide.
I have seen show after show in the last two years by the professional and amateur companies and we have a wonderful collection of young (and some older) singers who are just so together that we can be assured of great entertainment. I go back to the State Opera's Moby Dick which just blew the socks off me and many, many others.
There was the G & S Gondoliers in which Pat proposed to Liana (it could only happen is small town Adelaide).
And two S Clarks (one now a Nagy) appeared in Into the Woods at Elizabeth...a great Sondheim production.
I was blown away by The Drowsy Chaperone of the Hills Musical Company.
I'd seen this on the West End. And yes, you're right, Andrew was in the audience (Lloyd-Webber....his Lordship, complete with Bentley. no less). It was just great...compelling, witty, well paced...and just...so-musical
Here in little old Adelaide. We have had so much, that we should truly rejoice.
Now, on Festival's Eve we have witnessed not only the Adelaide Youth Theatre's "Seussical" which was a sensational success. 300 kids engaged in high quality Musical theatre. Congrats AYT & the youngest S Clark

So I was excited to see Secret Garden last night
You won't get much better than this.
The concept is exquisitely executed and the principals are outstanding. Rick Trevaskis' direction has a light but definite touch.
Singing is exquisite and deeply moving at times (yeah the medium S Clark!!...or Mrs Nagy as she now seems to be)
Go and see it!!!

On your recommendation I went to see it last night. Really good.

Three of the cast were there 12 years ago when I had my only go on the big stage.
