Today is St Peter's Day. I have a deep affinity with this very flawed apostle. It is easy to idolise him (as the Roman Church seems to have done) and make him into some sort of early Church super hero.
In reality he seems to be a bit thick, he is pretty variable. And just wants to be loved.
This might explain my affinity.
