During the news tonight the comment was made: "John Howard said that Australians wouldn't expect him to not play cricket on the day Van Nguyen is executed"
A voice, not mine, cried out "Yes we would!!"!!

Too right. By the way, did you listen to The Boyer Lectures? Great stuff.
I feel sorry for PM Howard in way...he is right, it is not of his making. But don't we actually think that the death penalty is so offensive that it is worth making some sort of gesture that affirms that. I am just about to download the Boyer Lectures to listen to them in luxury on my daughter's Ipod. I heard about 10 mins. the other day about miracles...yes I thought it was good. I always think Abp Jensen is clear and penetrating, which I like in a thinker. Don't always agree with the conclusions but he is worth listening too. Certainly the leading evangelical of that school in my opinion.
