That's not the point of this blog which points you to an article on new2.com.au (here) with the wonderfully seductive headline "Matt Damon: Why I Never Denied Gay Rumours
A few of the insights he makes are worth echoing: ( read the whole article here)
"MATT Damon says he never denied rumours he was gay because he didn't want to insult some of his friends. ... despite the fact he has been married for seven years and have four daughters. I never denied those rumours because I was offended .......- as if being gay were some kind of f--king disease," he told Playboy magazine.
Damon kissed his co-star Michael Douglas in their upcoming movie Behind the Candelabra, but says the speculation never made him hesitate."We both have a lot of gay friends and we were not going to screw this up or bulls--t it...... Michael was a wonderful kisser."Damon plays Douglas' young lover in the film about flamboyant pianist, Liberace."
Certainly not a perfect analysis of politically correct behaviour...even some what simplistic. But an encouragement for us all to get this in perspective.
